Terms of Service

By booking services with The Clean House Society LLC, whether through phone or online, you agree to abide by the following Terms of Service, any necessary credit/debit card authorizations, and our Privacy Policy. The fees outlined below primarily serve to compensate cleaners for last-minute cancellations and lockouts. 

Required Card on File 

All billing is processed electronically via our trusted third-party provider, Stripe, allowing you to pay using a credit or debit card. We cannot view any payment method details, ensuring your information remains secure. Your payment method will be saved on file and charged automatically after each cleaning, with receipts sent to your registered email address. A working payment method is mandatory; otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your service. 

Hourly Pricing 

For one-time cleanings (deep cleans, move-in/out cleans, one-time standard cleans), pricing is based on a Minimum Quoted Amount plus additional hourly rates. The Minimum Quoted Amount is determined by your home’s size and condition, serving as the base cost for the service. This amount is what you will be charged if the cleaning takes less time than estimated. Additional fees will apply if the cleaning exceeds the estimated duration, as follows: 

 $60/hr for 1 cleaner 

$90/hr for 2 cleaners 

$135/hr for 3 cleaners 

The timeframe for a job is defined as the duration between the “clock in” and “clock out” times. “Clock in” refers to the arrival of the cleaner(s) at your property, while “clock out” is when they have finished packing up all cleaning materials. 

Card Hold 

Forty-eight hours before your scheduled booking, we will place a hold on your card for the booking amount to ensure funds are available. If the hold fails, we reserve the right to cancel the service as necessary, and you will be notified via text, call, or email. 

Cancellation Fee ($50) 

If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, we reserve the right to charge a $50 cancellation fee via invoice or card on file. Any deposits or credit card holds will be refunded or released. This cancellation fee also applies in other specified circumstances outlined in these Terms of Service. 

Lockout Fee ($75) 

If cleaner(s) arrive and cannot gain entry, we will attempt to contact you via text and/or phone call and wait for up to 30 minutes. After this period, a $75 lockout fee will be charged via invoice or card on file. Additionally, if your cleaning falls outside our scope of work (e.g., an infestation is present), and we terminate the service, a $75 lockout fee will also apply. 

How to Cancel Your Recurring Service 

To cancel your recurring service, please call or text us at (682) 847-3939 or email us at thecleanhousesociety@gmail.com with at least 24 hours’ notice before your next scheduled appointment to avoid incurring a Cancellation Fee or Lockout Fee. 

Recurring Service – Canceling After Your First Appointment 

If you cancel after the first appointment of a recurring service, your total amount owed for that booking will convert to the full Service Total price (removing any Frequency Discount), and any difference will be charged accordingly. This policy prevents misuse of our recurring discount. 

Cleaner Reassignment Policy 

We reserve the right to reassign cleaners as necessary for both recurring and one-time appointments. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any such changes whenever possible. Late Payment Fee (5%) 

If we cannot collect payment for services rendered within 14 days, a 5% late payment fee will be added to your outstanding invoice balance. This process will repeat for each additional 14 days without payment. Photos/Videos 

Our payment processor requires us to take before-and-after pictures of our cleaning work to ensure quality. We also share these photos on social media. If you prefer not to have pictures or videos of your home posted online, please inform us beforehand, and we will honor your request. 

Complaints 

For service-related complaints, please reach out to thecleanhousesociety@gmail.com within 24 hours of service completion to qualify for potential resolution. 

Refund Policy 

All sales are final. No returns or refunds are permitted, except as specifically stated in these Terms of Service. 

Right to Terminate Service 

The Clean House Society LLC reserves the right to terminate services for any client at any time for any reason. Written notice will be provided via text message and/or email. 

Right to Refuse Service 

We reserve the right to deny or terminate service due to safety concerns, inappropriate situations, weapons on the premises, severe clutter, disconnected utilities, or any other circumstances deemed “unreasonable.” Our cleaners may leave if the home is in extremely unsanitary condition or if they feel unsafe or threatened. If a cleaning is deemed unreasonable, the cleaners may refuse service immediately, and you will incur a cancellation fee. 

Cleaning Day Preparation 

To maximize cleaning efficiency, please take a few moments to tidy up, allowing cleaners easy access to surfaces and areas to be cleaned, such as floors and countertops. 

Pets 

We are happy to work around pets; however, we request that indoor activity be minimized for cleaning efficiency and safety. If your pet becomes anxious or poses a safety risk, The Clean House Society LLC reserves the right to refuse or terminate service. If our cleaning technician must leave due to pet-related issues (e.g., aggression), our cancellation policy will apply. 

Service Fees 

While we provide instant pricing based on our experience, we may adjust prices according to the actual condition of your home. To avoid surprises, we’ll contact you if the job requires extra time. If we cannot reach you, the crew will leave, and you will be charged a cancellation fee. 

We reserve the right to reevaluate rates at any time based on the time taken to meet your standards. 

The Clean House Society LLC will discuss any price or service revisions if the cleaning time significantly differs from the initial estimate. 

Recurring Service Discount 

To prevent misuse of our recurring service discount, if you skip cleanings that lower your cleaning frequency, your price will revert to the pricing level for that reduced frequency. 

Alarms

If your home has a security system, please ensure it is turned off or provide us with the code and proper usage instructions. If the code changes, please inform us to avoid incurring a lockout charge. 

Use of Homeowner’s Vacuum 

If you request to use your vacuum, we will not accept any liability for its damage. We are not responsible for the maintenance of the vacuum, so if it is not in working order at the time of cleaning, we will not be able to vacuum carpet or hard floor surfaces. 

Cleaning Supplies 

Our cleaners provide all necessary equipment and products for cleaning. If you prefer using only green cleaning products, please inform us before service begins. If you require the use of your cleaning supplies, note that we are not liable for any damage caused by those products. In such cases, please have the cleaning chemicals and supplies ready for efficient service. 

What We Can’t Clean 

We cannot handle mold removal due to its specialized nature and cannot be liable for associated risks in clients’ homes. Additionally, we cannot clean hoarding situations or areas with any bodily fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, or urine. Unreachable Areas and Heavy Items 

For safety reasons, our cleaners cannot climb higher than a step stool or work outside your home. They cannot move items over 35 pounds; please relocate heavy objects ahead of the cleaning. 

Breakage/Damage and Loss Policy 

While rare, breakage or damage may occur during cleaning. Cleaners take reasonable care, but we are not liable for damage from normal wear and tear, improper installation, or undisclosed valuable items during booking. Clients should identify fragile items before service. Notification of any breakage or loss must occur within 24 hours, and while we will attempt identical replacements, it cannot be guaranteed. 

Cleaners Arrival Window 

We schedule cleanings to minimize drive time and maintain low prices. If you need a specific time, we will do our best to accommodate you, but no time is guaranteed. Please allow flexibility in scheduling between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with a typical window of no more than 30 minutes early or 60 minutes late. If we are running late, we will contact you. 

Inclement Weather 

We will close for business if weather conditions prevent our cleaners from safely reaching clients’ locations. 

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if such solicitation is discovered, with no obligation for refunds or liabilities. This clause does not prevent us from pursuing other legal remedies for breaches of this agreement. 

Governing Law 

Any claims related to The Clean House Society LLC website will be governed by Texas law without regard to conflict of law provisions. We strive to make our website useful, informative, and honest. Please let us know if you have suggestions for improvements. 

THE CLEAN HOUSE SOCIETY LLC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
